Another full day.
I woke up (again) at 8:30 and hit the ground running. I started researching query letters and agents for my genre then decided I needed to get out for a bit.
I’ve given myself a foodie challenge while here which is to go on a Pho Expedition. If you don’t know, Pho (pronounced fuh) is a Vietnamese soup filled with delicious broth, meats of various kinds, herbs , etc and you doctor it up with bean sprouts, chilis, lime, fresh basil etc.
I found a place near me and ventured out for it and boy was it delicious. I’ve only been to two places so far but this one is at the top now and not just because they give you a free cream puff with your Pho either. 😀
I brought my Writer’s Market book in. I’d forgotten mine at home so my generous and thoughtful husband sent me his copy so I’d have one to use here. Very helpful in the phase I’m at right now.
After a quick Costco run I made it back home, worked on my query letter, adopted a squirrel who likes almonds and rice crackers but NOT potato chips who I’ve named Rocky, finished Juan Martinez’ book (great epilogue) and am pondering a new working title for the book.
I can’t get warm! I think tomorrow I may head over to the Korean spa where you can sit in all these heating meditation rooms and soak in hot thermal tubs for a treat and an infusion of warmth! I don’t think I’ll invite Rocky.
More tomorrow! Nitenite from me and Rocky.
